Our supply partners
Ebico work in partnership with Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) as our licensed supplier. We chose SSE as they consistently score the highest in polls of customer service amongst domestic energy suppliers. They also score well, compared to other suppliers, on the rate of renewable energy they supply.
Your power will actually be ‘delivered’ by one of several distribution companies depending where you live and whether you’re buying gas or electricity – SSE incorporate Southern Electric, SWALEC and Scottish Hydro Electric. If you need to contact your local distribution company, use the number for SSE given on our contact numbers page.
Customer support
When you switch to Ebico, you’ll receive a welcome pack that bears the logos of both Scottish and Southern Energy and Ebico. This will include details of the SSE customer support phone line, and a phone service for customers to report their own meter reads, billing enquiry service and customer service line. You can also phone Ebico’s enquiry line at any time on 0800 096 6344. See also our contact numbers.
Your bills will also reflect the partnership of Scottish and Southern Energy and Ebico. Find out more about payment methods or bills.
How green is EquiPower?
While we make no ‘green’ claims for EquiPower, our supply partners, Scottish and Southern Energy, can in fact claim to be the UK’s leading generator of renewable energy. SSE own and operate nearly half of the UK’s total renewable generation capacity, which includes hydroelectric generation and the UK’s largest wind farm.
SSE state: ‘We are investing in the research, development and demonstration of a number of technologies as a key part of our strategy to remain the UK’s leading generator of electricity from non-nuclear sources.’
SSE is the UK’s second largest generation business, with a total capacity of over 10,000MW.
