Energy efficiency grants
With energy prices at historic high levels, the need to insulate your home is becoming even more important. If you receive a benefit, such as Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit, and you own your own home or rent from a private landlord, you may qualify for a grant to help you insulate your home.
Not in receipt of benefits?
If you’re an owner-occupier, then grants between £75 and £300 are still available for:
- cavity wall insulation
- loft insulation, where there is either none or no more than 65mm depth of insulation material already in place
- free hot water tank jacket when either of the above apply.
